Windows xp wireless network validating identity problem

I have a HP Mini 110-1000, in connecting to the router by its HP Wirless Assistant, it has a message saying, "Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network . On the other hand, the wireless network connection keep showing 'validating identity '.Can you please tell me how I can solve this problem? If one is present, Windows XP will try to connect to it.Sometimes your computer may not recognize the connection. Please, make sure that the driver for the wireless is installed by right clicking my computer going to properts an then go to device manager.

First, click on the wireless icon in your taskbar and under Related Tasks, choose Change advanced settings.

Once authentication has succeeded, it will go through the Acquiring network address state.

When this happens, an ip address configuration is being obtained using the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

If this occurs, you can manually configure the wireless network.

When a computer running Windows XP with SP2 attempts a wireless connection, it will go through validating the network.
